American corporation Google announcedthat by default, correspondence with the Gemini chatbot on Android and iOS will be stored for three years. Related data will also be stored: the user’s device and location, as well as the language used.
In the Gemini settings, you can select an option that disables saving chats; you can also delete all commands and requests to the chatbot yourself. In this case, the information will be deleted within 72 hours: according to Google, this will ensure the security of the application. The company also advises users not to share sensitive information with Gemini unless they want it to be used to improve machine learning technologies.
Previously Google renamed chatbot Bard in Gemini (named after the AI model), and also introduced a paid subscription to the advanced language model Gemini Ultra 1.0 for $19.99. There will be a trial period for the first two months.
