Google has announced the most significant feature enhancements to the Bard chatbot since its launch in March. It can communicate in 40 languages ​​including Spanish, Arabic and Chinese. The chatbot is now available in “most countries around the world”, including EU countries, where it appeared with a delay of a month due to blocking by European regulators.

As part of the update, the search and pinning of “conversations” with the bot were also simplified, the ability to share answers with friends and use photos in the search bar was added, and the number of places for exporting code was expanded.

As part of the update, Bard became available in Brazil and EU countries. In Europe, the chatbot was supposed to appear a month ago, but European regulators intervened. The Irish Data Protection Commission said Google has not provided plans for how the company will comply with current EU data protection rules.

While Google was preparing a response, regulators blocked the launch of Bard in the EU.

Over the past weeks, Google notes, employees of the company met several times with representatives of EU regulators to assure them that there are no problems related to transparency, choice and control when using the chatbot. Apparently, the regulators were convinced by the arguments of the company. Alphabet shares in electronic trading on the NASDAQ exchange react to the news about the update of Bard with a growth of 1.5%.
