“Google Docs” and “Google Drive” introduced electronic signatures – Kommersant

Google Docs and Google Drive now support electronic signature function. The new feature is currently in beta for some Google Workspace users.

The electronic signature feature will make it easier for Google Docs and Google Drive users to request to sign and sign documents without having to switch to third-party applications. Currently, there are already services in which you can sign documents using an electronic signature, such as Dropbox or Adobe Acrobat. How thinks The Verge, Google is trying to keep up with its competitors, and the company has been testing the feature itself for over a year.

Users of “Google Docs” and “Google Drive” will be able to request both a signature and initials and a name. It is also possible to set the signing date, which can be filled in automatically. You can request multiple signatures for a single document, and you can also track whether another user has signed or not. Currently, only Gmail users can require signatures. The ability to freely demand a signature will be added later.

The new feature will become available to individual Google Workspace subscribers in the coming weeks, but Business and Enterprise accounts will require admin permission. It is not known when the feature will become available to all Google Docs and Google Drive users.

Formerly Google added new query grammar checking feature. If the search engine notices that the user entered the query incorrectly in terms of morphology or syntax, it will suggest a replacement and show what was worded wrong in the sentence.
