Goods without eco-certificates in Russia banned from being called “green”

RBC, citing a relevant document, reported that the Commission on Legislative Activities approved a bill that proposes to oblige manufacturers of goods labeled “eco”, “green” and “bio” to confirm that their goods are produced in accordance with the law.
According to experts, the relevant amendments to the law were sent to the State Duma on June 24. The purpose of the amendments is to prevent consumers from being misled when selling products that are not related to organic.
At the moment, there are many products labeled “bio” and “eco” in stores. This creates certain difficulties in identifying organic products.
