At JSC Mosvodokanal, employees of labor dynasties pass on the secrets of their skills from generation to generation. What makes these people build a career in one production? Let’s ask the head of the Neganov dynasty – Vladimir Nikolaevich. But first, let’s find out which of the close people are working here.

The total experience of the Neganov dynasty, working in the Production and Operational Department of the Sewer Network of Mosvodokanal JSC, is almost a hundred years.

At the enterprise, the head of the dynasty, Vladimir Nikolaevich Neganov, has been working since 1987, now he is a general-purpose machine operator of the 6th category. Raisa Ivanovna Neganova, the engineer of pumping units of the 4th category, the wife of Vladimir Nikolayevich, also works in the department together with her husband. Vladimir Nikolayevich and Raisa Ivanovna are proud that their work is continued by children who also work here!

The son, Maxim, is the head of the section in the Production and Operational Department of the Sewer Network. His wife, Elena Andreevna Neganova, is an engineer. She joined the company in 2010.

The daughter of the Neganovs, Alina Vladimirovna Yurova (Neganova), has been working at the enterprise since 2019 as an engineer. Her husband, Pyotr Mikhailovich Yurov, also works here, as a general-purpose machine operator of the 6th category.

Vladimir Nikolaevich Neganov is from the Volgograd region. There were four children in the family.

“My father worked as a carpenter at a factory, my mother worked at the Melzavod,” says Vladimir Nikolayevich. “From childhood, our parents taught us to be honest, responsible, open to each other and to other people.”

In a working-class family, work was held in high esteem. They did not live well, but together. Vladimir Nikolaevich recalls that the children helped their parents, worked in the garden, which at that time was a significant help for a large family.

Once Vladimir’s father, Nikolai Mitrofanovich, noticed how his son was drawn to technology. First I bought a moped, then a motorcycle, a car … The son was always there, helping his father with repairs.

“Technology was my calling,” says Vladimir Nikolayevich.

Even then, Vladimir Nikolayevich realized that in the future his work would be related to production activities.

Time passed, and the young man, thinking about his life, did not hesitate for a long time in choosing a profession. I decided to go to Moscow, to my aunt, who lived in Pushkin, near Moscow. Parents approved this choice at the family council. In Pushkin, he graduated from vocational school.

It’s time to serve in the army. In 1978, Private Neganov went to the border, to Karelia.

“Zastava is like a small collective farm. We grew a lot of things there ourselves. Therefore, my ability to work in the garden was also very useful there. Of course, the army taught me a lot, so I recommend everyone who has not served yet to go through this school. In addition to military skills, this is self-discipline, the ability to live and work in a team. Good school of life.

I’ll do the right thing and come back

After military service in the army, Vladimir came to the draft board, from which he was drafted, and he was given a ticket to the mechanical plant. Here, the young specialist acquired the skills to work on many machines. Very soon he successfully studied turning, plumbing, became a real specialist.

In 1987, Vladimir Neganov moved to the Production and Operational Department of the Sewer Network of JSC Mosvodokanal. There were several reasons for this transition. At the turn of the country’s transition to democratic lines, many enterprises began to delay wages and worked unstably. In addition, inflation did not allow planning the family budget, prices rose by leaps and bounds. In Mosvodokanal there was a different picture. And the main argument for the transition was that here, in addition to the social package, they promised to solve the housing problem, which was acute for Vladimir Neganov. By that time, he had already started a family.

“Besides, the work here seemed to me interesting, creative, and this has always been a priority in our family.”

The company kept its promise. A few years later, the Neganovs received the long-awaited living space, and life went on as usual.

Both the reaper and the Swiss …

Neganov Sr. talks about his work with enthusiasm.

“A machine operator of a wide profile is a specialist worker who is engaged in the creation of parts, which are subsequently used for various mechanisms,” explains Vladimir Nikolayevich. “The list of my responsibilities includes creating drawings of future products, making calculations, regulating the operation of the machine, setting the necessary characteristics, assessing the quality of the created parts.”

And the work of a machine operator has much in common with other working specialties: turner, miller, grinder, driller. Today, workers are in demand more than ever. In terms of their level of competence, a skilled worker will not yield to an engineer. Of course, constant improvement, study in the profession are necessary, and Vladimir Nikolayevich Neganov is in a constant process, because life sets more and more new tasks, presents new challenges that he accepts.

“I love my work for its diversity,” says Vladimir Neganov. “You often have to solve complex problems, and this attracts in the profession.”

In addition, Vladimir Nikolayevich works both as a foreman and as a technologist. Often introduces something new into the production process, while showing rationalization abilities.

“I have 8 people in the team, 4 of them are young people who, of course, need training. Now that we have switched to import substitution, we have to be smart, but we manage.”

A family is strong when there is only one roof over it.

Life is like a turbulent river. Of course, every family has its own joyful and sad events, but the Neganovs, united by such a capacious word – family, have always met all hardships together. No wonder they say: a family is strong when there is only one roof over it. And together, as a friendly team, it is easier to cope with all the hardships.

“It’s a sin for me to complain about fate. Favorite job, stable salary, strong family. I am not a supporter of lecturing children, just yesterday I told my daughter: I am proud that you live by your own mind. But if anything happens, my mother and I will always lend a hand.”

Vladimir Nikolayevich is convinced that the main principle in dealing with children is not instruction, but one’s own example. Children see it, but each of them has his own way. They chose him, and also – in the Production and Operational Administration of the Sewer Network. The older Neganovs are also proud of their grandchildren. Today the Neganovs have three of them. Of course, they will make their own professional choice, but there is an example to follow in the family.

“It seems to me that the main thing that we could pass on to our children and pass on to our grandchildren is a kind attitude towards people, towards our profession. I saw all this from childhood, the example of a father and mother is still in my memory, and everything in our life, as they say, goes into a “return”.
