On the Turkish tourist province of Antalya in the south of the country on the night of Tuesday, January 31, hail with snow hit, because of which life in the region was paralyzed for some time.
According to local media, the elements hit the cities of Manavgat and Serik. The hail was the size of a golf ball, and because of this, motorists had to hide in underground parking lots or under the canopies of gas stations.
In addition to hail, the cities faced heavy snowfall which caused traffic congestion.
Last week, heavy rains hit the province, causing mudflows to descend from the mountains in some areas.
