Gold and a Russian record: strongmen from the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug took 4 medals at the championship for the blind

Yamal strongmen won four awards at the All-Russian powerlifting competitions among the blind. This was reported by the Department of Physical Education and Sports of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
Alexey Larin from Muravlenko won two gold medals, another gold from Sergei Mikhalev from Novy Urengoy. Gennady Pleshkov from Labytnanga took bronze. The Novy Urengoy athlete also set a Russian record – Sergei Mikhalev achieved a weight of 265.5 kilos in the deadlift exercise.
The powerlifting championship among the blind was held in Chelyabinsk from April 1 to April 7. 62 athletes from 18 regions of the country took part.
