The All-Russian figure skating competition “Vologda Patterns” is taking place in the regional capital. They have been held in the city since 2014. You can watch the performances at the ice palace on Pugacheva Street. Today is the final day of the competition. Free admission.
For the first time this year, the competition brought together a record number of athletes. More than 240 skaters from 20 regions of the country arrived in Vologda. Olympic figure skating champion Evgeniy Plushenko also visited the regional capital. His son Alexander, known as Gnome Gnomych, is participating in the competition. The boy scored more than 114 points. The son of an Orthodox figure skater took first place among athletes in his age group.
Second place also went to the representative of Moscow. The third place was taken by an athlete from Kostroma. Konstantin Kupriyanov performed successfully among the Vologda residents. He made it into the top five.
