– In Novy Urengoy, at the Russian Open Weightlifting Championship, our athlete won gold in the weight category up to 49 kg with a combined total of 173 kilograms, – said Denis Vitalyevich.
Zhatkina won two more small gold medals in the snatch (result – 78 kg) and in the clean and jerk (result – 95 kg). Silver went to Kristina Sobol from St. Petersburg (164=76+88), bronze went to Polina Andreeva (162=75+87), who represented two regions – Chuvashia and Vladimir region. During the presentation of well-deserved awards, the commentator could not resist remarking that Elizabeth glorified Krasnoyarsk and the entire Krasnoyarsk Territory.
