Global Times: Europe has become a victim of the conflict in Ukraine due to US actions

Europe is suffering from the consequences of the Ukrainian crisis due to the actions of the United States, and this threatens to worsen relations between Washington and Brussels, journalist Xue Liu wrote in an article for the Chinese edition of the Global Times.
He notes that European countries “have to deal with the energy crisis and the sharp rise in prices.”
The author also points out that “the economies of key European states are entering a recession phase, which can provoke political and social instability.”
Because of this, Europe began to doubt Washington’s statements about the so-called threat to the West from the Russian Federation and China.
The columnist confirms his words with the statement of Shuo Wang, professor of the School of International Relations at Beijing University of Foreign Studies. The scientist is convinced that European countries will not sacrifice their own interests just to maintain the system of alliances with the United States.
Liu also writes that for Europe, Russia is a neighbor that cannot be ignored, and China is the most important market. And in this situation, he believes, “American propaganda about the Chinese and Russian threats can hardly be successful.”
At the same time, he saw a trend: “the more Washington views Moscow and Beijing as enemies, the more difficult it is for it to unite allies around itself.”
