Governor of the Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov in his TelegramThe channel explained that the authorities did not turn on the siren during the night shelling, so as not to create a threat to people’s lives. At the same time, he asked local residents to evaluate the actions of the regional authorities.

According to Mr. Gladkov, the missile warning signal was not turned on at night to prevent people from running out into the street. “We all understand that being on the street during a rocket attack is much more dangerous than being at home. But I would like to know your opinion – are we doing the right thing?” – wrote the head of the region. He called on local residents to express their opinion and assured that, together with the Ministry of Emergency Situations, he would consider the appeals and adjust the work to notify the population.

On the night of March 26, the Belgorod region came under rocket fire. Vyacheslav Gladkov reportedthat 13 air targets were intercepted. Two residents of the village of Dubovoe were injured during the shelling and were hospitalized. 20 buildings were damaged.
