During the live ether Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov on VKontakte, a local resident asked him to reconsider the routing of patients in the healthcare system, which allows for the transportation of people for treatment from Belgorod to the regions. The head of the region stated that the system has already been revised, but there is a shortage of operating rooms due to a special military operation.
“You recently said that ambulances should not transport Belgorod residents to other cities and regional centers,” recalled Belgorod resident Irina Kalinina. “Either we did not understand you, or Ikonnikov (regional health minister.— ”b”) I don’t agree with you. As they carried, they still carry to Tomarovka, Korocha, Prokhorovka. Patients are afraid to call an ambulance, fearing that they will be taken to an unknown location.” The woman asked Mr. Gladkov to change the order for routing patients.
The head of the region noted that as part of helping residents of the regional center with therapeutic diseases, the situation has been corrected, and medical care is being provided to them in Belgorod. Regarding the situation with surgical diseases, the authorities are not yet able to change the situation. “There are not enough operating rooms. Including due to a special military operation. If possible, I will not give further comments, there is a problem with the operating rooms,” explained Mr. Gladkov.
According to the official, construction of an emergency hospital will begin next year on the basis of one of the hospitals in Belgorod. After this the situation will change. “Of course, this will be a long wait, and we will take measures, but with surgery everything will not be resolved quickly,” summed up Vyacheslav Gladkov.
