About 100 residents remain in the village of Novaya Tavolzhanka, Shebekinsky District, said Vyacheslav Gladkov, Governor of the Belgorod Region.

On June 4, the Ministry of Defense announced the repulsion of an attempt to break through the Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group (DRG) in the Belgorod region. According to the agency, the DRG made an attempt to cross the river in the Novaya Tavolzhanka area. The defense department added that an artillery strike was carried out, as a result of which the enemy was “scattered and retreated.” On the same day, information about the battles in Novaya Tavolzhanka confirmed Gladkov.
Over the past day APU released on the territory of the region at least 650 shells. In particular, 611 shells were fired at the Shebekinsky urban district, 185 of them were recorded in Novaya Tavolzhanka.
