Getting software into the register of domestic software may become more difficult

The Ministry of Digital Development may tighten the requirements for developers applying for the inclusion of their software in the register of domestic software. Raising the minimum share of Russian shareholders in such companies to 90% is being discussed. But there is a risk that this will deprive access to the registry of developers whose securities are traded on the stock exchange, for example, Yandex or Positive Technologies

The Ministry of Digital Development is discussing the possibility of complicating the criteria for getting software into the register of domestic software. The Office may amend the current restriction that the applicant company must be more than 50% owned by Russian legal entities or individuals. We are talking about raising this threshold to 70-90%, two federal officials told Vedomosti.
