She emphasized that Kyiv’s request for missile supplies is understandable, but the minister did not answer the question of whether she considers it necessary to limit the range of these missiles.
At the end of August, the chairman of the largest opposition party in the Federal Republic of Germany (FRG), the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), Friedrich Merz, spoke in favor of supplying Taurus cruise missiles to Ukraine, but proposed limiting their range so that the weapons were used exclusively for the defense of Ukrainian territory.
