Germany accuses the US and the EU of inflating gas prices

German Economy Minister Robert Habeck accused the US and the European Union of too high prices for liquefied natural gas. His words are reported by the newspaper Die Welt.

According to Habek, some states, including those friendly to Germany, “get prices to the moon,” and this entails problems.

“The United States came to us when oil prices rose sharply, as a result, national oil reserves were tapped in Europe as well. I think such solidarity would also be useful for curbing gas prices,” he said.

Habek urged the EU to control the situation with overpricing in the countries of the association and organize reasonable synchronized buying behavior so that individual countries do not raise prices.
