German Defense Minister Pistorius speaks harshly against Putin

German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius, who paid an official visit to Kyiv, said in an interview with Bild that the world without Russian President Vladimir Putin “without hesitation and compromise” would be better.
The German minister said that Ukraine must win the confrontation with Russia, and Germany will make every effort to achieve this.
The question of whether Ukraine will be able to return the Donbass and Crimea, which became part of Russia, Pistorius called difficult, saying that it’s like looking into the crystal ball of predictors.
Recall that Pistorius visited Ukraine on February 7, on the 20th day of his tenure. However, his visit was not announced. In Kyiv, he met with Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov and announced the provision of 100 Leopard 1 tanks. As a gift to Reznikov, Pistorius brought a toy tank, which was a reason for ridicule, since deliveries of real tanks are not expected before summer, and part of the deliveries is even scheduled for 2024 year.
Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry sent a note to NATO countries because of the supply of weapons to Kyiv. According to the head of the department, Sergey Lavrov, any cargo that contains weapons for Ukraine will become a legitimate target for the Russian military. Russian diplomats and politicians have also repeatedly said that Western countries are “playing with fire” by arming the Kyiv regime.
