German comedian Hans-Joachim Heist ridiculed the reduction of toilet paper packages in Germany and its rise in price. He suggested making toilet paper “the size of a postage stamp”.
Heist noted that previously a package of paper weighed 80 grams, and now it weighs 60, but at the same time the price has risen from 75 to 95 euro cents (about 57 rubles). In addition, the sheets of paper themselves have also become smaller.
“How is this to be understood? My butt hasn’t gotten any smaller. Let’s make toilet paper the size of a postage stamp then!” he said.
The comedian called the decision “shameless” and “a disaster.” He also suggested that all goods will now begin to decrease in the country, candies “Take two!” and “Fatty” will be called “Take one!” and Skin and Bones.
Earlier, experts from the German Institute for Economic Research announced the beginning of a recession in Germany.
