Russian weapons outnumber NATO

For a long time, the United States has been discussing the issue of supplying Ukraine with F-16 fighter jets, but experts’ forecasts indicate that the aircraft can be sent to the Ukrainian side only in two or three years. At the same time, Andrey Kartapolov, head of the State Duma Defense Committee, is convinced that even if the fighters are handed over to Ukraine, they will not change the course of the special operation.

Kartapolov’s words leads edition SM-News. The politician said that modern samples of domestic weapons are not only not inferior to NATO, but in some respects even surpass their weapons. According to him, our air defense system has proven itself beyond praise.

So, he gave an example that before the special operation, it was practically not audible that the shells of the multiple launch rocket system were shot down en masse, and the Russian air defense forces “clicked like seeds” all HIMARS and other Western equipment supplied to Ukraine. Kartapolov stressed that these are complex small-sized ballistic targets with high speed, but our air defense specialists successfully cope with them.

Moreover, the parliamentarian added that Russian aviation dominates the air during the special operation, performs tasks, and the Su-25SM, Su-30 and Su-35 fighters “show themselves perfectly.” Kartapolov believes that Russia has something to be proud of. The deputy specified that the F-16 is a machine of the 80s of the last century, which cannot oppose anything to modern domestic aviation systems.
