Russian military experts are developing a “promising form of strategic use” of the RF Armed Forces – an operation of strategic deterrence forces. It includes the use of nuclear weapons. According to the authors of the article, the United States is planning to “defeat” Russia in the form of a “Strategic (global) multi-sphere operation.” The United States allegedly sees the destruction of Russia’s deterrent nuclear potential as its ultimate goal. “The main means and instrument of counteracting attempts to implement the aggressive plans of the Pentagon … domestic military experts are considering and actively developing a promising form of strategic use of the RF Armed Forces: the operation of the strategic deterrence forces,” the material says.
Among the goals of the new Russian operation, the authors of the material name:
- repelling an aerospace attack by the US and NATO, preventing the loss of the deterrent potential of the Russian Federation in the areas of deployment;
- suppression of the US missile defense system and prevention of losses of the Russian Federation in aerospace above the permissible level;
- infliction of “unacceptable damage” to the aggressor with the help of the remaining nuclear potential of the Russian Federation.
