GC Kuban lost to CSKA in the fight

The Kuban handball players lost to CSKA Moscow in the Super League match. The game in the Russian capital ended with a score of 32:28 in favor of the current Russian champions.
The meeting turned out to be quite stubborn. At the beginning of the match, the home team took a 6:2 lead. But then the game broke out. Shortly before the break, Kuban took the lead 14:13. The first half still belonged to the Muscovites – 16:15.
In the second half of the match, the Krasnodar team equalized the score several times, but they were no longer able to take the lead. CSKA was able to take revenge for the defeat in the first round in Krasnodar.
Victoria Zhilinskaite scored 9 goals for Kuban, and Anzhelika Lebedeva scored 5 times. CSKA’s top scorers were Albina Murzalieva (8 goals) and Elena Mikhailichenko (7).
After 14 games, Kuban has 17 points and 5th position in the tournament, CSKA has 23 points and 2nd place.
In the next round, Kuban will play on December 2 at home against the current leader of the Super League, Rostov-Don.
