“First of all, this is the transfer of the processing authorization zone, which, after all servers are transferred to the Russian Elbrus, cryptomodules and DBMS are replaced, will receive the highest level of protection,” he said.
Sauers specified that the project will be implemented as an MVP at the end of 2023 and commissioned in 2024, after which it can be scaled to the entire financial industry. He noted that Elbrus shows 60-70% performance compared to imported processors.
Olga Skorobogatova, First Deputy Chairman of the Bank of Russia, added that “if this is not done, <...> we won’t get anything.” She supported the Gazprombank project and stated that its implementation is important for the Central Bank.
