Gaza may temporarily stop fighting to free some hostages

The Gaza Strip may temporarily cease hostilities to free hostages held by the Palestinian Hamas movement. This possibility is being discussed by CIA Director William Barnes, the head of Israel’s foreign intelligence service Mossad, David Barnea, and Qatari officials, the Financial Times writes, citing its own source.
The publication notes that a humanitarian pause would allow for the release of ten to 20 hostages, as well as the delivery of more humanitarian aid to the blockaded Gaza Strip.
According to journalists, the negotiations are focused on a three-day humanitarian pause in Israeli actions.
This pause can also be used to obtain a complete list of hostages held by Hamas.
Let us remind you that Israel continues to demandexplanations from world news agencies regarding the presence of their correspondents at the time of the Hamas attack on the country on October 7. In particular, we are talking about photographer Ali Mahmoud working for the Associated Press (AP), whose photographs depict German citizen Shani Luk, who was kidnapped by militants and later killed.
