Gasoline production in Russia in the week from March 25 to March 31 increased by 2.7% compared to the previous week, according to published data Rosstat. Production volume amounted to 775 thousand tons. Diesel fuel production decreased by 1.8%, to 1.6 million tons.
According to Rosstat, in the week from March 26 to April 1, gasoline prices increased by 0.04% after an increase of 0.08% from March 19 to 25. Consumer prices for diesel fuel increased by 0.21% over the week, the average price of diesel fuel was 64.90 rubles. per liter
The average cost of a liter of gasoline as of April 1 is 54.70 rubles, according to Rosstat data. The cost of AI-92 is 50.62 rubles, AI-95 is 55.30 rubles, AI-98 is 68.70 rubles.
On February 29, the government introduced a ban on gasoline exports from March 1 to August 31 in order to maintain stability in the fuel market during a period of increased demand. Prior to this, the export ban was introduced in September 2023.
In March, Kommersant wrote that gasoline production in Russia decreased by 4% by the end of the month. The decrease is explained by the increased frequency of attacks on Russian refineries – since the beginning of March, the Ukrainian armed forces have attacked the LUKOIL refinery in the Nizhny Novgorod region, the Novoshakhtinskoye refinery in the Rostov region, the Syzran refinery in the Samara region, the Slavyansk refinery in the Krasnodar region and the Taneco refinery in Nizhnekamsk with the help of drones.
