Gasification of Roslavl: how to make a family nest out of a “box”

With gas in the house it is easy, warm and comfortable

For many residents dreaming of a cozy family nest with a small garden, possible electricity bills became a real obstacle. The story of one such case was told to MK by a resident of Roslavl, Ekaterina Otvagina.

“We started building our house on Amikov Street in 2014. The city authorities provided our family with six acres provided by law for free. Unfortunately, there were no communications in the new place, they provided electricity to the house at their own expense, they themselves drilled a well for water. When the house was in the “box” stage, we had a full-length question about heating. After all, construction will someday end, and in these 130 sq. m should be warm and comfortable,” says Otvagina.

Ekaterina wanted to install gas heating, because it is much cheaper than an electric boiler. She appealed to the district administration and the gas service of Roslavl. In both places, the resident only sympathized, saying that it was not supposed to improve Amikov Street in this regard. “Of course, we were disappointed, and in the absence of other options, we were going to get an electric boiler to heat the room. But then the neighbor advised us to contact the Roslavl branch of Gazprom Gas Distribution Smolensk JSC. What we heard from the employees of the branch made us very happy and encouraging: yes, additional gasification will be carried out in the Roslavl district, and you can participate in this program, ”continues Otvagina .

The gas service explained to the family that they needed to write an application, prepare documents and order a project from the gas service, without it now there is nowhere. Preparations began in April last year, and already at the end of autumn, a “blue flower” caught fire in the Otvagins’ house.

“We did not encounter any obstacles, on the contrary, our wishes were met. As an example, it seems to be such a “trifle”: specialists dug a trench for laying a pipe, it went straight to a tree that they did not want to destroy. And the employees of the gas service found an option not to touch the green space, ”says Ekaterina.

Note that all gas supply from the main pipe to the border of the site is free. This is the main essence of the program. “If this was done for money, we would have to pay more than one hundred thousand rubles or try to conduct gas collectively with the same interested residents. We wintered well the first winter. The house is warm, everyone is happy: me, my husband and our three children,” the hostess rejoices.

“It is very important that the gasification project has entered an active phase, and today many people can take advantage of it. In my opinion, today every family wants to live in modern and comfortable conditions. The opportunity to get blue fuel to the house not only allows the family to create living conditions, but also save money that can be spent on other needs,” commented Olga Vasilyeva, Chairman of the Social Policy Committee, member of the United Russia party of the Smolensk Regional Duma.
