Gas prices plummet in Europe
[ad_1]
In Europe, the fall in natural gas prices accelerated. If as of Monday, October 17, the price per thousand cubic meters fell below $1,300, on Tuesday morning this figure fell to $1,202.
As of 10:00 Moscow time, November futures have risen in price slightly – up to $1,252. Thus, over the past two weeks, natural gas prices in Europe have fallen by almost a third.
This dynamic is a result of European gas storage being filled ahead of schedule. In addition, warm weather has now set in Europe. The average share of wind generation in electricity generation has also increased.
At the same time, it became known today that the European Union decided not to set a gas price ceiling for the time being due to disagreements among EU members and problems with fuel supplies.
