Galileo’s verdict: The sun revolves around the Earth again

On June 16, 390 years ago, the Holy Inquisition sentenced Galileo Galilei. His statements that the Earth revolves around the Sun, and not vice versa, were recognized as a “dangerous heresy”. The scientist was saved from the fire only by a public renunciation of his own ideas. Unlike Giordano Bruno, who was burned for a scientific (oppositional) opinion.

On this day, the Inquisition held a plenary session, where it decided to interrogate the scientist under the threat of torture and, if he resists, then after a preliminary renunciation as “strongly suspected of heresy”, sentence him to imprisonment. He was ordered never again to talk about the movement of the Earth around the Sun.

“The opinion is absurd, false from a philosophical point of view, since it directly contradicts the Holy Scriptures.”

For there is an official position of the church and the state, which is discredited by any other point of view, undermining their authority. The Catholic Church has officially defined heliocentrism as “a dangerous heresy” – there can be no alternatives, period.

Surprisingly, in Russia there was no inquisition as such in that dark era. But now we are catching up. In all respects: and planting the only true opinion from above on any issues, and losing the latest knowledge on the school curriculum.

So last year, for example, when asked what revolves around what, 35% of Russians told VCIOM that it is the Sun that revolves around the Earth.

The Holy Inquisition would be pleased with us.

And now a whole corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences Alexander Kudryavtsev claims that the cause of evolution was the original sin of Adam and Eve and earlier people lived for 900 years, but after the Flood, life expectancy decreased significantly.

“I can only state, as indicated in the Holy Scriptures. Very specific dates are indicated there, with the help of which you can create a schedule for how long they lived then and now, ”Kudryavtsev argued his position.

Well, the trouble is the beginning. Many knowledge gives rise to many sorrows, forcing people to think and analyze, which is completely useless in modern times.

Those who doubt, like those who are overinformed, are dangerous – for they ask unnecessary questions. This is probably why Russian schools are already proposing the speedy introduction of such a subject teaching great patience and obedience as Domostroy, which, by the way, was written at about the same time (several decades earlier) as Giordano Bruno was executed.

Of course, we have not yet reached the burning at the stake of those who disagree with this postulate, but … Back to the past! In all senses.

Yesterday, the ideologist of the Russian World, Alexander Gelievich Dugin, announced at the SPIEF session that it is urgent to resettle modern cities, forcibly sending people to villages. And then immediately everyone will become spiritual, they will tirelessly multiply, solving the demographic problems of Russia.

Alexander Gelevich is aware, of course, that in many modern Russian villages there are no hospitals or schools. Therefore, he proposes to build airship villages and launch them into the air. To combine, so to speak, the past with the future.

Okay, 1633 – but it’s 2023! So does anyone need it?

What are those churchmen famous for in history? Only by condemning Galileo.

And that nothing but torture and coercion could not prove their case. Even more so, they failed to stop the movement of the Earth around the Sun. Truth has triumphed! Chemistry and physics too.
