A bas-relief with images of the founders of Russian cosmonautics Konstantin Tsiolkovsky, Sergei Korolev and Yuri Gagarin will be installed in Venezuela. This was announced on Friday, May 12, at the Russian embassy in Caracas.
The bas-relief will be installed on the territory of the National Experimental Polytechnic University of the Armed Forces of Venezuela by agreement of the rector of the educational institution, Colonel-General Anchiolillo Fernandez and the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Venezuela Sergey Melik-Bagdasarov.

In 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law ratifying agreements between the governments of Russia and Venezuela on space cooperation.
