The winger of the RCT and the XV of France had injured his ankle at the end of May during the final of the European Challenge, lost against LOU. Eight days later, Gabin Villière was operated on his left ankle and then announced an absence of “eight to ten weeks“. It will be longer than expected because, three months later, he has not yet fully recovered.
“I still have to be a little patientsaid the electric player on Monday. I had to redo a small ankle operation to solve a small problem that still remained. I haven’t resumed collective training yet. I’m still in recovery, a lot in the gym, doing some boring cardio.»

His return is therefore postponed. “I can’t wait to get back to the field, the group, to touch the ball. But it will take me another three or four weeks before I am 100% and competitive. It’s long and frustrating…Gabin Villière will therefore miss, at least, the first three days of the Top 14 which resumes this weekend.
