The Russians who signed a contract for service in the zone of a special military operation (SVO) reported on the reasons that prompted them to join the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. They told about their motives in a conversation with a correspondent of the Moscow City News Agency, being in a single selection point in the capital, located in a five-story building on Yablochkova Street, house 5, building 1, which is a ten-minute walk from the Dmitrovsk metro station.
“Many of my close friends serve, I believe that I should also be there,” one of the young people explained his desire to join the Russian army.
Another Russian said that he was going to the NVO zone to support his friends and protect the interests of the country. He already has experience in military service, and the guy is sure that his knowledge and skills will be useful at the front. “Before that, I served in the special forces, many of our guys are there, I also want to support the guys and the country,” he said.
At a single selection point, future contractors from different regions of Russia can go through all the necessary procedures. Doctors are ready to check the health status of a potential candidate, taking into account the data from his electronic medical record. The instructors will conduct an interview with those wishing to take part in the SVO and, based on the results, will determine his military specialty. At the same time, each candidate has the right to choose his specialty.
In addition, before being sent to the special military operation zone, all recruits will undergo special professional training at the training grounds of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
To draw up a contract, anyone wishing to join the Russian army will need a passport, military ID, diploma, marriage and birth certificates, if any. The collection point on Yablochkova Street in the capital is open from 9 am to 8 pm without a lunch break on weekdays (from 9 am to 6 pm on Saturday, from 9 am to 3 pm on Sunday).
