The Nizhny Novgorod Torpedo futsal players continue to compete in the regular championship of the PARI-Super League for the 2023-2024 season. The team from Nizhny Novgorod has been playing in the elite division of Russian futsal for the fourth season in a row and during this time has been able to gain a foothold among the strongest representatives of the league. Based on the results of 27 matches played in the 2023-2024 season, the Torpedo futsal players were able to score 49 points and were in 5th place, behind only Norilsk Nickel, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, Ukhta and Gazprom-Yugra.
On January 26, the black and green played the first match of the away series against Kristall from St. Petersburg and were able to win a landslide victory. From the first minutes of the meeting, Torpedo seized the game advantage and did not let it go until the final siren. At the end of the first half, Torpedo was in the lead with a minimal difference in the score, and in the second period of the game, the Nizhny Novgorod team finally finished off Crystal with two more goals. The hosts broke the score in the 37th minute, but were unable to achieve more. The final siren announced Torpedo’s victory with a score of 3:1.
On January 27, there will be a return match between Kristall and Nizhny Novgorod Torpedo. The match is scheduled to start at 17:00 Moscow time.
