The first Russians evacuated from the Gaza Strip left the customs control zone at Domodedovo airport. There were two women and several men.
One woman was wearing a fur coat and a hat, the second was without warm clothes, in jeans and a sweater.
People seemed amazed at the number of journalists who had gathered.
The women lowered their heads and refused to answer questions. The men also quickly walked past the television cameras to the exit from the airport, accompanied by employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
Many evacuees have problems with documents, so they were delayed at border control.
Thanks to Russian diplomatic efforts, 99 Russian citizens, including children, were evacuated from the Gaza Strip through the Rafah checkpoint. Some of them were taken to Cairo, from there 70 people flew to Domodedovo.
