The Department of the Federal Security Service of Russia for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region drew up protocols on violation of the rules of stay on the territory of the Russian Federation (Article 18.8 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation) in relation to more than 70 people detained during a raid by law enforcement and migration services in the industrial zone in the Gatchinsky district of the city. Now the department is solving the issue of expelling them from the country, the press service of the FSB reported today, February 13.
All the detainees lived on the territory of the industrial zone permanently, and here they were employed. Some of them committed minor violations of migration laws, but most of the detainees, mainly from “regions with a heightened terrorist threat”, are in Russia without reason, the FSB stressed.
The raid on the industrial zone in Gatchina was carried out by the FSB together with the local police and the Russian Guard.
