FSB General Mikhailov told where SBU agents come from in Russia

Retired FSB Major General Alexander Mikhailov explaining NEWS.ru sources of formation of agents of Kyiv on the territory of the Russian Federation, noted three groups promising for the enemy. He believes that these are either those who came to Russia from Ukraine, or Russians who had relatives in a neighboring state, or those who “simply by their nature try to interact with the SBU and other special services.”
Mikhailov points out that the work that agents perform can be of two types. The first is all sorts of activists and “agents of influence”, and the second are those whose hands directly carry out actions invented in Kyiv.
As the expert says, “on the territory of the Russian Federation there are a large number of people who came from Ukraine, not only because they love Russia so much.” Many proceed simply from the idea of their own benefit. Therefore, the Russian special services often identify those who are trying to commit acts of sabotage, but are not associated with the SBU, being such agents of influence. Although this environment is certainly very attractive for the Ukrainian special services.
Among the already identified Ukrainian spies and agents of influence, Mikhailov notes, there are far from always outcasts, these can also be people in the public service, including in law enforcement agencies. Such people, perhaps not possessing important secrets, have certain abilities. In particular, for example, to legalize the stay in the Russian Federation of people who have already arrived with specific tasks. And this is sometimes more important for the enemy than some secrets.
