FSB announced the arrest of a resident of the Orenburg region in the case of terrorist attacks

FSB officers detained a 25-year-old resident of the Orenburg region, who, on the instructions of the Ukrainian special services, was preparing terrorist attacks in the military registration and enlistment office and the department of the FSB of Russia. This was reported in the press service of the department.

“The FSB, in cooperation with the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, prevented a terrorist act in Novotroitsk. As a result of the measures taken, a Russian citizen born in 1997 was detained, who, on the instructions of the Ukrainian special services, was preparing arson,” the report says (cit. according to TASS).

The detainee planned to set fire to the relay protection and automation cabinet of the Novotroitskaya railway station of the South Ural Railway, the Orsk military registration and enlistment office and the department of the FSB of Russia. Subsequently, the young man planned to go over to the side of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and take part in hostilities against Russia.

During the searches, components for the manufacture of an improvised explosive device were found, which the detainee kept in an equipped cache. In addition, law enforcement officers found online instructions for making explosives and explosive devices, as well as correspondence in a messenger with Ukrainian special services.

A criminal case was initiated against the detainee on the fact of preparing terrorist attacks (part 1 of article 30 and part 1 of article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
