From education to ecology: RussNeft supported charity in Ugra

In 2023, the Nizhnevartovsk branch of the oil company donated 4.8 million rubles to charity, reports the press service of RussNeft. It is noted that the company provided support to projects to popularize the culture and economics of the indigenous peoples of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Ugra. In particular, the company established special prizes for the competition of professional skills of reindeer herders for the Ugra Governor’s Cup.

The Nizhnevartovsk representative office organized celebrations dedicated to the anniversary of the region. As the company noted, together with the administration of the city of Raduzhny, a number of municipal programs were implemented to improve the material and technical base in the field of education, culture, sports and youth policy. The company also took part in organizing public events of urban importance and in the development of the urban environment.

In addition, the company provided support to the public organization of pensioners and veterans of the city of Raduzhny, the Novoagansk children’s art school and the Orthodox communities of the cities of Raduzhny and Novoagansk. The Kyokushin Karate Federation, the All-Russian Society of the Blind, and preschool and general education institutions received assistance. Last fall, a branch of RussNeft became involved in the creation of an art space for a school in the city of Raduzhny.

The press service clarified that the company began fruitful cooperation with the municipalities of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug back in 2010. Among other things, the branch pays great attention to the environmental agenda of the region. Large-scale volunteer events are organized to restore green spaces and foster a responsible attitude towards the environment.
