Frenchman Boke, who covered the events in Donbass, asked for asylum in Russia

Ex-military and volunteer from France, Adrian Boke, who covered the events in Donbass, asked Russia to grant him political asylum reported RIA Novosti, citing an informed source.

“Former French military man Adrian Boquet has asked the Russian authorities to grant him political asylum,” the source said. The agency reported that the appeal from the Frenchman was received in mid-December.

TASS with reference to Boke himself wrotethat a French volunteer asked for Russian citizenship and political asylum. Currently, he is an expert on NATO weapons of the DPR representative office in the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of Issues Related to War Crimes of Ukraine.

On September 26, 2022, a Frenchman was attacked in Istanbul. Two men inflicted several cut wounds on Boke with a knife. The former French soldier managed to escape. bokeh declared “RIA Novosti” that this attack was organized by agents of the Security Service of Ukraine. In October at the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs declaredthat they have no information on this incident.

According to RIA Novosti, Boke visited Ukraine on a humanitarian mission as a volunteer last spring. The Frenchman said he saw how Ukraine was preparing a staged massacre of civilians in Bucha.

Russia’s special operation in Ukraine began on February 24. Russian President Vladimir Putin called the protection of the inhabitants of Donbass, as well as the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, its goals.
