French Secretary of State Marlene Chiappa fired after Playboy photoshoot
France’s Secretary of State for the Solidarity and Social Economy and Public Life Marlene Chiappa has been fired after a few months of scandal provoked by her photo shoot for the erotic Playboy magazine. About it informs BFMTV.
In April, the 40-year-old official took part in a photo shoot for the magazine, explaining that she defends the rights of women, and also stating that “the women of France are free.” The local press wrote that Prime Minister Elizabeth Bourne personally Schyappa for her consent to work with the publication, calling it inappropriate against the backdrop of massive protests over pension reform.
Jean-Christophe Florentan, editor-in-chief of the magazine, stated that the printed 100,000 copies of that issue were sold out in three hours. It was reported about plans to order a reprint of 60,000 units from the printing house.
Even before the start of sales, a fake photo from Schyappa spread on social networks: in the picture she posed in a revealing pose in a swimsuit, a tattoo was visible on her chest. It soon became clear that it was a collage – the official’s face was placed on someone else’s body, but the fake photo managed to become viral. In fact, Schyappa posed for Playboy in a rather closed white dress, the image referred to the painting by Eugene Delacroix “Liberty Leading the People”.
