Freestyle competition CLASH OF SLASH took place in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk

Amateur freestyle competitions in the format of CLASH OF SLASH jam sessions were held on Mount Parkovaya in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. More than 60 skiers and snowboarders from Khabarovsk, Blagoveshchensk, Vladivostok, Komsomolsk-on-Amur, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and cities of the Sakhalin region took part in the competition, which is being held for the third time, the press service of the regional Ministry of Sports reported.

“It’s not so much sport as pleasure. We prepared various railings for the participants, several wide jumps, and also hung a “can” – a metal barrel with which you need to interact when performing a trick,” said Sergey Ostrovsky, a representative of the SERIOUSNOW organizing team.

Competitions were held in three categories: children, amateurs and professionals. Anyone could apply, and the number of attempts to collect points was not limited.

“The last time I was at Gorodukha about five years ago, there was no reason to ride here, and some time ago I started learning tricks, so I decided to join such competitions. It is very important to develop and maintain freestyle, especially skiing. I am glad that parks are being built on Sakhalin and there are youth movements that promote this sport, ”said Boris Akimov, a participant in the Pro category.

According to the results of the competition, the first place among junior athletes was won by Valeria Pak and Dmitry Kovalev. Among amateurs, gold belongs to Daria Ponomarenko and Sergey Lavrentiev. In the Pro category, the best results were shown by Nikita Neshkin (snowboard) and Vladislav Osipov (alpine skiing).

“I’ve been snowboarding for six years now, skiing for about a year and all this time trying my hand at freestyle. He performed in the category “Children”, it was very interesting. I performed frontside 360 ​​and frontside 180 with a grab – this is when you rotate around your axis while jumping. My brother, the youngest participant in the competition, he is 9 years old, took first place, and I took second, ”said Sergey Kovalev, 11, from South Sakhalin.

Also, among professional freestylers, knockout contests were held, where Vyacheslav Egle won the first place among snowboarders, and Vladislav Osipov among skiers.

In the competition for the highest “ollie” (high jump over the crossbar), Vyacheslav Nikolaev won the first place.

The winners and prize-winners were presented with certificates from sports shops, as well as equipment and equipment for sports.
