She offered to join a certain closed club in order to get an apartment
The verdict of a previously convicted fraudster who posed as a successful psychologist was handed down by the Lefortovo Court of the capital. The woman offered to join a closed club in order to get a luxurious apartment, but in reality she simply stole money from gullible friends.
From December 2018 to April 2021, Natalia El lured money from citizens. Pretending to be an influential person in government agencies and an experienced psychologist, she offered assistance in purchasing apartments at a reduced price. The woman tried to convince her to transfer funds to be included in the list of people who allegedly have benefits for the purchase of housing. In reality, she had no opportunity to improve anyone’s living conditions. She used the money at her own discretion.
As a rule, the woman had the same method of deception. Natalya El, presenting herself as a psychologist, regularly appeared on various talk shows on television. There she met influential people and offered to join a certain “club”, in which housing was distributed among the members of this organization. She asked new members to pay a large entrance fee. Elle even showed off the mansion that she allegedly acquired thanks to her membership in the club, where “meetings” of successful people took place.
Already during the investigation, it turned out that El’s maiden name was Kozlova, she started out as a teacher, but then began to practice various scams. After another 7-year sentence in prison, the swindler changed her last name and even changed her appearance to look like a Jew.
As the press service of the Moscow prosecutor’s office told MK, in total, seven citizens suffered from Natalya El’s actions, the total amount of damage exceeded 16.7 million rubles. The court sent her to a general regime colony for 8 years and 6 months. The civil claims of the victims were also satisfied.
