France raises terror threat level to highest after Crocus attack
The head of the French government, Gabriel Attal, announced in his microblog on the social network X that the level of terrorist threat in the country was raised to the highest following a meeting of the Defense Council initiated by President Emmanuel Macron.
According to him, this decision was made in connection with the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall in Moscow.
“After the terrorist attack in Moscow, the French President convened a meeting of the National Defense and Security Council at the Elysee Palace. Due to the fact that the Islamic State (a terrorist group banned in the Russian Federation) took responsibility for the attack… we decided to increase the level of Vigipirate to the highest: “an urgent threat of attack,” the prime minister wrote.
