The head of the Federal Project for Security and Anti-Corruption (FPBC), Vitaly Borodin, was stripped of his lawyer status. The corresponding decision was made yesterday, November 10, by the Council of the Bar Chamber of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, reported “Moscow’s comsomolets”. The author of the article on the publication’s website is member of the Human Rights Council Eva Merkacheva.
Mr. Borodin is a member of the Bar Chamber No. 1 of Vladikavkaz. According to the newspaper, he was charged with several violations of lawyer ethics. In particular, he combined human rights and advocacy activities.
The head of the FPBC is known for repeatedly turning to the Prosecutor General’s Office and other departments with a request to check various Russian figures for administrative and criminal violations. In particular, he was dissatisfied with their position on the Russian military operation in Ukraine. From the beginning of 2023, Vitaly Borodin asked to initiate checks against Liya Akhedzhakova, Alla Pugacheva, Semyon Slepakov (declared a foreign agent), Diana Arbenina, Valery Meladze, Danila Kozlovsky.
