Four-time world football champion Brazilian Mario Zagallo dies

Former Brazilian footballer Mario Zagallo has died at the age of 92. He became a world champion four times – as a striker for the Brazilian national team and as its coach. In particular, he led the 1970 team, considered by many football experts to be the best in football history.
The death was reported on the football player’s Instagram page (the social network belongs to Meta, which is recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation). The reason is not specified.
As a footballer, Mario Zagallo won the 1958 and 1962 World Cups. In 1970, he won the tournament as head coach of the national team. Players such as Pele, Jairzinho, Roberto Rivelino and Tostao left for his team. Thus, Mr. Zagallo became the first person in the history of football to win the World Cup both as a player and as a coach. In 1994, he won another league title, but this time as assistant coach to Carlos Alberto Parreira. In 1998, Mr. Zagallo again led the national team, his team reached the final, but lost to France.
