The Swiss publication NZZ described four scenarios according to which events could develop in the event of the entry of French troops into Ukraine. Earlier, French President Emmanuel Macron admitted that he could make such a decision.
The first scenario, as noted in the publication, involves the deployment of a French contingent north of Kyiv in order to prevent a possible offensive by Russian forces from the territory of Belarus. In this case, as some experts previously noted, Ukraine will be able to release its own troops there and transfer them to other areas.
In the second option, French forces will serve as reserves in the Zaporozhye direction, where a breakthrough of the Ukrainian front is possible.
The third option involves the protection of Odessa by the French military. Earlier, the media reported that Macron allegedly said in an informal conversation to his entourage that he would have to “send the guys” to Odessa.
The implementation of the fourth scenario involves the deployment of French units in Moldova.
