Four more triathlon departments will appear in Chuvashia

The president of the all-Russian public organization “Russian Triathlon Federation” Ksenia Shoigu visited the republic on Tuesday. She met with the Head of Chuvashia Oleg Nikolaev and the Minister of Sports of the Republic Vasily Petrov.
The parties discussed plans for the development of triathlon in the republic. This sport needs some kind of breakthrough, since at the moment Chuvashia has only six triathlon coaches.
Now in Chuvashia there are branches in Novocheboksarsk, Batyrevsky and Yadrinsky districts. However, already in 2024, work will be carried out to open four more branches.
“I thank Ksenia Sergeevna for her attention to our region. I am convinced of successful cooperation,” Oleg Nikolaev wrote in his Telegram channel.
He recalled that “over the past year, athletes of the republic’s national triathlon team won 47 medals of various denominations at interregional and all-Russian sports competitions, of which: 13 gold, 18 silver, 16 bronze medals.”
