Russian law firms PATENTUS, Arbitrazh.ru, Kitsing and Partners and Benefit Litigation Law Firm announced the creation of a new big player in the market – Big Fish Law Group. Managing partners of the companies announced this on September 21 at the Federal Legal Forum conference. In their opinion, such an association meets modern challenges, since clients want an integrated approach to solving their problems.
The Big Fish Law Group project will include the following legal practices: criminal defense of business, protection of intellectual property, insurance law, resolution of commercial and tax disputes, comprehensive support for bankruptcy procedures.
“Against the backdrop of the departure and collapse of the Ilfs” (ILF, International Legal Firm.— ”b”), crushing many “rulfs” (RULF, Russian Legal Firm.— ”b”) we felt a lack of big players in the market. In response to this need, we have brought together legal boutiques with recognized expertise and professional teams in their fields. In such a difficult time, we need to be together,” Dmitry Markanov, managing partner of PATENTUS, told Kommersant. He explained the choice of the name Big Fish as a tribute to the work of Tim Burton, as well as the intention to “get closer to big business.”
