Former spy Ritter: the US has not encountered what the Russian Federation is doing in Ukraine
Former US intelligence officer Scott Ritter said that his country’s army had never before encountered what is happening now in Ukraine.
Ritter criticized the words of the former commander of the joint forces of NATO in Iraq and Afghanistan, David Petraeus, who said that Washington could use carpet bombing to overcome minefields and then go through them with “bulldozers” supported by helicopters.
“You’re talking about carpet bombing, but when was the last time we carpet bombed anything, General?” Ritter lashed out at Petraeus in an interview on the Judging Freedom YouTube channel.
According to him, the US used carpet bombing in the Gulf War, but missed the minefields.
At the same time, as Ritter noted, the Russian army has air defense systems that the United States has never had to deal with.
In addition, Ritter expressed doubts about the statements of CIA chief William Burns about the success of American intelligence in Russia.
