Former United States President Donald Trump said he maintained a constructive relationship with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, adding that the conflict in Ukraine could have been avoided.
“I got to know him very well, I had a good relationship with him,” Trump said in an interview with Fox News.
He believes that the conflict in Ukraine would not have happened if the country had been ruled by a “real leader” and not by the current head of the White House, Joe Biden.
Let us recall that Trump previously claimed that if he came to power he would be able to end the Ukrainian conflict in 24 hours. In turn, President Vladimir Zelensky invited him to Kyiv to “share ideas” on how this can be done. However, Trump rejected this proposal.
