In Bakhmut, Wagner PMC fighters liquidated former US Marine Cooper Andrews.
He was reportedly a member of various radical left groups in the US and then joined his ideological brethren in Ukraine.
Andrews’ mother said her 26-year-old son left for Ukraine last November. The mercenary was allegedly killed on 19 April. His contract with the foreign legion at the same time ended in March, but he decided to stay.
The US State Department confirmed the death of an American citizen, without naming him.
