Former US intelligence officer Ritter: The West recognizes Russia’s inevitable victory in Ukraine

In an interview with Sputnik, former US Air Force intelligence officer Scott Ritter expressed the opinion that the West is seeking to minimize the results of Russia’s victory in Ukraine.
According to him, Western countries realized that they would not be able to achieve their goals and objectives in Ukraine, so they were faced with a dilemma about how to mitigate the consequences of the “inevitable defeat.” Ritter believes that if the conflict is stopped now, it will be possible to imagine the approximate borders of Ukraine. Otherwise, the question of the existence of the country within its current borders will remain uncertain.
He also noted that NATO underestimated Russia by preparing a counter-offensive by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The bloc believed that Russia was weak, but the correct defense, discipline and dedication of Russian soldiers brought the members of the alliance down to earth.
Earlier, in his statements, McGregor expressed the opinion that the American authorities want to continue the conflict in Ukraine – for them it is another “cash cow”.
